The little things..............

Sydney began crawling forward on Friday, and began clapping yesterday. Who knew those 2 little achievements could bring a grown personto tears. When I look back at all of the firsts over her short life, I realize how much she has really changed. No longer this little thing that would just sleep and eat, but this little person who has demands, likes as well as dislikes, actions and words. When did Syd start reaching upwards to be picked up??? When did she learn her name?? When did I miss these suddle changes in her?? It all happened so fast, without any warning. It was like one day Sydney just woke up and knew how to do all of these things. I wish I could remember the days these little things happen so I could put them into that special place in my memory where all of her firsts go. Yet, these firsts will go into that other place where, I know she learned how to do them a certain month, but I won't be able to pin point the day, because it seems like she was always able to do it.

We have been doing swimming lessons with Sydney, and she is a natural. It is so interesting to watching her kick, as if she had been swimming for years. Sydney knows to hold her breath when she goes under the water, and splash just like the bath tub. She is a natural just like her Dad. It is really special to watch them in the water, they have a special connection, that is very unique. Not just father and daughter, but playmates for life. I'm just glad they include me every now and again. I really makes me so happy to do this as a family, because it is one of those memories that we will cherish always!!
